Big Picture Series

Season Sponsor: Gwen Richard

The "Big Picture Series" enhances Houston's arts and film community by bringing acclaimed independent film artists to the city for cultural and educational enrichment. The series aims to position Houston as a key hub for the film industry and tourism.

This is a quarterly series that includes public programming and masterclass educational experiences for local artists in the new Emersion Fellowship program. Guests of the series will also be featured on the "Friends on Film" podcast.

The first event in the series is "John Waters' Live Commentary of his HAIRSPRAY". This is John Waters' first ever live director's commentary. The event includes a special pre-show trailer reel, a screening of HAIRSPRAY with live commentary by Waters, and a Q&A session. VIP ticket holders can also join a "Group Therapy Experience" with Waters afterward.
